HOW TO GET TO CHESTNUT HILL 

An eco friendly resort for nature lovers in Thailand​
​

It is becoming increasingly easy to get to Chestnut Hill Eco Resort from anywhere in the world. As multiple forms of transportation are becoming increasingly available and traveling is becoming more cost efficient, people are travelling further away for both business and leisure purposes.

Domestic flights, coaches and trains allow visitors to travel comfortably and cheaply between Bangkok and Southern Thailand. Upon arrival, visitors may request to be picked up by our personal taxi services and be driven to Chestnut Hill Eco Resort; found only 30 minutes away. 

Chestnut Hill Eco Resort is located about 26 km from Hat Yai City and Hat Yai International Airport. There are multiple ways to get to our resort such as local Song Theaw, shuttle bus, taxi, joint transfers and public bus routes. Please look up out google map by scanning below QR Codes.

HOW DO YOU GET TO HAT YAI FROM ABROAD
By Air – Nearest Airport: Hat Yai. (also spelt Had Yai or Hatyai) Domestic & International flights connecting to Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and Penang etc. Low cost domestic and international airlines such as: Air Asia, Nok Air, Tiger Airways, Thai Smile, Lion Air from 2000-3000 Baht return.

Further Bangkok Airport Travel Information: There are two Airports in Bangkok – Don Mueang  and Suvarnabhumi International Airports. Most of the international airlines will fly to Suvarnabhumi airports while most domestic and regional flights will connect with Don Mueang. There is a free shuttle service 

If you travel international flight to Suvarnabhumi Airport, you could also connect with Thai Airways sister Airline, “Thai Smile” so you don’t need to change the airport.

By Rail – Nearest Station: Hat Yai. Connected to Bangkok (16 hrs), Kuala Lumpur (14 hrs) and Butterworth (3.5 hrs). Visit www.railway.co.th
By Road – Nearest City: Hat Yai. Connected to Bangkok (12 hrs by super deluxe coach), Penang (3.5 hrs), Singapore (overnight coach). http://th.easybook.com/

HAT YAI - CHESTNUT APPROXIMATE DISTANCES
  • Chestnut Hill is about 26 km from Hat Yai City Center.
  • Hat Yai to Thung Lung is about 18 km
  • Thung Lung (Nearest Town) to Chestnut Hill is 8 km.

Chestnut Hill or “Suan Sai Nam” as locally known.

REACHING CHESTNUT HILL FROM HAT YAI CITY 
Option 1
: (by advance notice only)
From Airport/Railway Station/Downtown Hat Yai: Pick-up or drop by Chestnut Hill pre-arranged taxi service: 700 Baht

Option 2: (for low-budget or light travelers)
Reach the Clock Tower (Haw Nalika) bus terminal at the heart of Hat Yai City (local transportation available from the Airport/Railway station) Take a maroon color tempo, (Song-Thaew) or a bus towards Sadao. Get off at Thung Lung town en-route. (about 20 baht)

Take a motor cycle taxi (about 130 baht) all the way to Chestnut Hill (via Thung Chang Village).

Option 3 : Arrive by own arrangement (private vehicle) From Hat Yai head towards Sadao/Malaysian border. Reach Thung Lung (about 18 kms from Hatyai) on the Hat Yai - Penang Highway (Kanjanavanich Road). Turn left for Thung Chang village at Thung Lung Police Station (at Suzuki Bike Shop) and just follow the indicated by signboards. The entire stretch of about 8 km is a good road.
