  • Once reached the Malaysian Immigration Checkpoint, proceed with regular departure formalities and customs.
  • After the checkpoint, park the car either at the duty free or along the road between the Thai and Malay border.

  • Then you ask for the form to temporarily bring your vehicle into the country. Fill in with all the passenger on board.
  • Next, you go to the next Kiosk and give your passport together with your car registration, authority letter, and car tax update.
  • You then will be granted to bring your car to Thailand temporarily "Simplified Customs Declaration Form"
  • While out of the Thai Immigration look out for local Insurance kiosk, and get one if you don't already buy one at the duty free. If you are travelling less than a week then you can buy 7 Days Third party insurance for RM 20.
  • The whole procedures  may take up to 30 minutes to 90 minutes depending on time of the day and of the week.
